Thanks to “Where the Grassroots Grow”

Over the Martin Luther King Day Weekend, DCM was privileged to be a part of a wonderful community event and fundraiser for Davis Community Meals, “Where the Grassroots Grow” a celebration of Martin Luther King Day held on Sunday afternoon January 17th and Monday evening January 18th.

The events were held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis. The musical program and choral presentation was led by Laura Sandage who assembled a marvelous choir to sing inspirational songs to all who attended and sing alongs with audience members. Rita Hosking lent her musical talents to the show along with musicians Sean Feder, Johnny Flores, Nancy Lower, and a host of choral singers.

We wish to especially thank Laura for her energy, enthusiasm and dedication. The show was fabulous and entertaining! To Laura Hosking for here wonderful voice. To all of the other musicians and singers who spent a lot of time and effort to put on a great show. And finally to Rev. Elizabeth Banks and UU Church for hosting the event and their continued support of DCM!
